Menjer lake situated in the village of Maron, sub Garung. This lake is about 2 km from the capital district Garung. Named for the village of Maron menjer lake is actually a new village which was once a rural area menjer.
Menjer Lake is the lake formed by volcanic eruptions at the foot of Mount Pakuwaja. Formerly it was only water in the lake from several small springs around the lake and also relies on a relatively high rainfall of this area. In the Dutch colonial era with the construction of hydroelectric power will Garung under the lake, the river Serayu dibendunglah partially located in the northern village of Jengkol. Then flowed
through an underground tunnel along ± 7 km below the PT Tambi tea plantation which are in most areas and Tlogo Kreo Village. To drain the water from this lake to the hydropower, dibendunglah fraction of the lake and below installed pipes with diameters reaching ± 3m towards the hydroelectric power that is approximately 2 km.
