For her special appearance in Jakarta on 3 June 2012, Lady Gaga has decided to build a castle for her stage. The castle is to take up a quarter of the huge Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium where she is to appear in her collossal concert entitled The Born This Way Ball , as mentioned and illustrated in Lady Gaga’s own tweeter account.
The expected 40 thousand spectators will occupy the Stadium’s tribune including the soccer arena which for this occasion will be covered with special coverings over the grass imported from Germany that will still allow the grass to breathe. The special covers have already been tried and have passed the test. For extra convenience, promoters have set aside a dedicated Ladies Only area with special entrance gates.
To support the massive scale of the show, the artist’s exceptional production team is reported to have chartered three Boeing 747 aircrafts to carry up to 39 containers of equipment. While Lady Gaga herself, the band, dancers, crew, and all of the team involved in the concert tours, will fly in on 9 private jets.
Big Daddy, promoters of the concert in Indonesia have prepared 40.000 tickets in 7 different categories ranging from IDR 465, 000 to IDR 2, 250,000. Already huge crowds have gathered on the first day of ticket sales on Saturday, 10 March 2012 at FX lifestyle X’nter Jakarta which offers special students installment program, a priority line for best dressed Gaga look, and a priority line for holders of 2 Bigdaddy’s prior shows.
Produced globally by Live Nation, The Born This Way Ball Tour –to begin on April 27th, 2012 in Seoul, South Korea- will be Lady Gaga’s first tour since the release of her latest album Born This Way, which has sold nearly 6 million copies worldwide since its release in May 2011. For the Jakarta concert, Big Daddy Live Concert has been honored to have been chosen by Live Nation to be promoters for the Jakarta show, confirming the long-term cooperation between the two companies.
Lady Gaga follows the slew of internationally acclaimed artists performing to full house audiences in Indonesia, from Justin Bieber to Rod Stewart, Katy Perry, Il Divo to Stevie Wonder and many more. Gaga will perform hits from her latest album Born This Way as well as music from both The Fame and The Fame Monster. Considering the colossal size of the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, the audience in Indonesia are most fortunate to be able to fully enjoy the show as it is intended to be. The official press release describes THE BORN THIS WAY BALL as an Electro-Metal Pop-Opera; the tale of the Beginning, the genesis of the Kingdom of Fame, the story of how we were born and how we will die celebrating.
